11th Annual Golf Tournament Baisakhi Open Huge Success

11th Annual Baisakhi Open Golf Tournament was held from August 2-4, 2013 at Industry Hills Golf Club
located at “Pacific Palms Resort” City of Industry, County of Los Angeles, California USA. Apart from US and
Canada golfers from India, England and Norway participated. The three day event attracted more than two
hundred participants with about 150 playing members.
At the conclusion of Day-1, participants were welcomed to a dinner gala appreciating the Sponsors. Live
entertainment was provided by Sunil Khanna a local golfer and professional singer who enthralled the
audience with his versatile singing. Families of golfers and sponsor’s participated in celebrating the evening
by dancing to the mystic music and Bhangra tunes adding a color to the evening event. Sponsors were
felicitated for their generous donations and were awarded appreciation plaques.

The most important moment of the evening was charity donation to Children’s Hospital Of Los
Angeles. On behalf of Board of Directors of Baisakhi Open USA a check of $5000.00 presented to
Ms. Sara Hackett of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Baisakhi Open USA will continue its efforts in
the future to help charitable institutions both locally and globally.
Tournament concluded on August 4th 2013 with Sher-e-Punjab Trophy won by Raj Patel, a local Los Angeles
native of the Friday Club. Runners up trophy awarded to Ravi Bakshi.
