NRI Senior Citizen Association Celebrates Valentine's Day

Norwalk California. Indo-American Senior Heritage (IASH) celebrated Valentine's Day function in their regular meeting on Thursday February 21 2012. About 200-250 people attended the function . The main purpose of function was to encourage members to participate.
The function was started after dinner around 7:00 PM. All the males were giving Rose flowers to their female partners. Dr Manorama Sharma, who was chairperson of the program explained the program and said that as there was no participant for dance program she decided to do the dance. It started with instrumental music by Ramnik Chowhan. The solo dance was performed by her and duet dance was performed by her and her husband DR Madhu S Gupta.
The singers were Dr.Ram Singhania, Jayant Jhavery, Harkishan Vasa, Arjun Nankarni, Meeta Rangaria and Jagdish Purohit. Invited singers who entertained the audience were Dr Kailash Dhameja, Rashmi shah, Anil Desai, and Sangitika.
People enjoyed music and dance so much that there were no time to do the Talent competition of Marriage proposal which was scheduled in which participants were Harkishan Vasa and Kusum, Dr Ram Singhania and Dr.Aruna, Dr Jay Shah and Usha, Dilip Rangharia and Meeta, Kamal Desai and Shurti, Tony Parmar and Bina, Jagdish Purohit and Usha, Dr. Madhu S Gupta and Dr. Manorama. Judges were Dr Krishna Reddy, Mrs. Nalini Solanki and Mrs. Kinna Gandhi. Emcee was Jaspal Singh Maju. This was the first Valentine Day function which IASH celebrated.
