NRI, (non-resident Indian) Mr. Joginder Bassi, producer of "Gaunda Punjab radio Prog" Toronto, is trying to use different kind of approach with Punjab Govt. official to solve the NRI problems.

Gaunda Punjab Radio Program has been on the air since 1982. It broadcast news, views, talk shows, opinions and information about Punjab, India, Canada and has completed its 22 successful years of service.

The new program, which was started last month, can be listened on FM in Toronto area. The Punjab government's new approach , 'CM Rhubarb'- an NRI radio broadcast will solve the problems of Canadian NRIs.

According to the NRI press reporter, it looks like that Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has its own interest directly or indirectly to enforce the policies and programs of the Punjab government towards Candian NRI's problems back home

Purpose of the new program is to address NRIs problems pertaining to the police and legal disputes. Under this program, every week a senior officer of the Punjab Police, DIG and Senior Deputy Advocate General interact with listeners of Gaunda Punjab Radio in live broadcasts.

It is very clear that Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh during his recent visit to Canada is trying to fulfill his promises with NRIs. God knows how long Amarinder Singh will rember his promises and his orders to the police will stay alive. Upto now, NRIs have great failure in their back home problems in Punjab

If Mr. Bassi is taking this kind of grteat approach, he must have support from NRIs.
