Over 600 cars participate in rally to Universal Studios, California
in support of farmers in India

Los Angeles, Dec 09, 2020 A.Gary Singh

Today farmers of India are sitting on Highways and streets of India. They are protesting the unfair laws that have been passed by India’s central government of Prime Minister Modi. Tens of thousands of farmers are gathered around New Delhi capital of India hoping to get justice. Demonstrators are faced with police brutality and showered by pressurized cold water cannons. Deep trenches were dug on national highway to stop the peaceful protestors and deprive them of their democratic rights. People across the world have started protesting in support of these farmers. Many are on streets walking in protest and others are doing cars & truck rallies.

In support of farmers of India on Sunday Dec 6th, a car rally happened in Hollywood. Around 11 am, protestors and supporters started gathering in the Metro Station parking lot in front of Universal Studios. In matter of few hours the parking lot was filled with cars & trucks. Protestors had signs and banners posted on their cars in support of farmers and against anti-farm bill. Around 2 pm a flying banner showed up in the sky with message “Support Farmers of India Against Anti Farm Bills”.

This was a que to start the rally. Approximately 500-600 cars were part of this protest rally. It was a peaceful rally with minimum disturbance to others on street. Everyone was waving the poster with the clear message to Indian government that we do not support your new law. This peaceful car rally passed in front of Hollywood Bowl and headed towards its destination to Hollywood Blvd. This protest rally was attended by people of all ages in support of farmers that are still sitting on streets in the cold winter of India. Along the way crowd chanted slogans like “We Support Farmers”, “No Farmers No Food”, “Take Back Black Laws”, “Farmer Live Matter” and many others. Car rally ended peacefully on Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave.
