The wedding anniversary of Harbhajan & Sharanjit Samra of Punjab farms in Coachella Valley was celebrated in a unique way on Oct. 31. Mr. Samra invited children from the Santa Ana Gurdwara Punjabi School and their close friends to celebrate Halloween at their farm where they had plenty of food, candy, fruit & fresh vegetables.

The guests sat on the Manja’s (cots from Punjab). The artists presented Mirza, Dhola Ve kathe din no chare, Jay Mundian Va shadi tore to vakhiane and other melodies Punjabi songs and enjoyed the Punjabi music by Jaspinder Suriti and Akashdeep Singh who came from India. The setting was that of an akkara from Punjab. Children from PCC also performed Bhangra in their beautiful costumes.

The program was planned from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm but continued until 6pm because everyone was having such a great time. It was an amazing program.

Other dignitaries’ who attended the event were Harry Sidhu, Council member from the City of Anaheim & Mayer Edvarado Garcia from City of Coachella.

Joined by family and friends, Harbhajan and Sharanjit cut the cake of their wedding anniversary. Also, family friends Virpal & Baljit Toor celebrating their wedding anniversary along with Sahib & Jyoti Bhuller joined the cake cutting ceremony celebrating Sahib’s birthday.

Guests relished the sumptuous lunch followed by the anniversary celebration program.
