NRI Sarojini Padmanathan, Experienced HR Leader Appoints as CEO of Singapore’s Hindu Endowments Board

Sarojini Padmanathan has appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer of The Hindu Endowments Board (HEB), Singapore’s statutory authority responsible for managing key Hindu temples and community initiatives, with effect from December 24.
Padmanathan has experience of more than four decades in public service. Over the course of her career, she played an instrumental role in the restructuring of public hospitals during the 1990s and later contributed to organisational resilience and people transformation efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic. She previously held senior leadership roles at the Ministry of Health and the Health Sciences Authority, where she oversaw workforce development across medical, nursing and administrative disciplines.
Before taking on the CEO role, Padmanathan served as a finance member of HEB, where she helped strengthen financial oversight and governance processes. She was also closely involved in the organisation’s operations, including its temples, halfway house and religious programmes.
She succeeds Jeevaganth Arumugam, who has led the board since September 2024. Established in 1968, HEB manages four Hindu temple endowments and oversees cultural, religious and charitable initiatives under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
