NRI Sarojini Padmanathan - From Healthcare Leadership to Community Governance
Sarojini Padmanathan is a veteran public service leader in Singapore with more than four decades of experience, primarily in the healthcare and public administration sectors.
Professional Experience
Over her 40-year career, she has held senior leadership positions at the Ministry of Health and the Health Sciences Authority. Her work focused on workforce development across medical, nursing and administrative disciplines, strengthening institutional capacity and leadership pipelines.
Key Contributions
Padmanathan played a significant role in the restructuring of public hospitals during the 1990s. She also contributed to organisational resilience, people transformation and governance strengthening during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Role at Hindu Endowments Board
Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, she served as a finance member of the Hindu Endowments Board (HEB). In this role, she helped enhance financial governance and oversight and gained in-depth understanding of the board’s operations, including its temples, community programmes and charitable initiatives.

Current Position
