NRI girl murdered
by father and found exhumed

In 2006, NRI disabled girl, 7, believed to be beaten by her father
and found 60% of the skeletal exhumed body in shallow unmarked graves
in Jalan Kampung Pisang, Air Itam.
According to the
police, Forensic police collected skull from a shallow grave and
identified as her name is Priya.
Priya's father, 40, a labourer has been arrested on Tuesday and
the police is collecting more information from her mother.
One of her three brothers, took the police to the burried place
and all brother were there on thse scene. A forensic pathologist
Datuk Dr Bhupinder Singh was on the scene to assist the police for
more investigation.
From the evidences, the police have registered this case as a murder
case
Dr Bhupinder is but one of over 1,000 cases he has worked on to
help the police since his posting to Penang in 1992 as the state's
forensic pathologist. He assisted in the Highland Towers tragedy
and the tragic tsunami that claimed many lives on Dec 26, 2004.
His main job is to determine the cause of death. At the same time,
he would look for clues which could help the police to determine
the murderer. He is also an honorary lecturer at the Penang Medical
College, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and the Asian Institute of Medicine,
Science and Technology in Kuala Lumpur
