US Task force arrests two Toronto NRIs in New Orleans

NRI, Prit P. Dhillon, 53, of Branpton, Ontario,
Canada was arrested around 10:40 p.m. Friday,
and impounded his 18-wheeler by the task force. They
also found $230,000 cash
The task force received information that indicated
the driver of an 18-wheeler on Friday would deliver
100 pounds of marijuana off Chef Menteur Highway at
Interstate 510 in eastern New Orleans. The driver
would be met by people who would give him $230,000
in exchange for the drugs, police said.
Police arrested David Nguyen, 45, of Jersey City,
and Tuan Quoc Nguyen, 35, of New Orleans, who are
believed to have met Dhillon. A late model Lexus automobile
was also seized.
NRI, Rajbir S. Grewal, 22, of Mississauga
in Ontario, Canada was also arrested . Authorities
say Grewal was stopped Saturday about 3:45 a.m. on
Interstate 59 outside Pearl River with more than 250
pounds of marijuana in a rental truck, the FBI said.
