arrested for smuggling
over 100 kg marijuana to USA

NRI (non-resident Indian) Jasdeep Singh Litt
was arrested by Canada Border Services Agency ( CBSA
) officers for possession of drugs for the purpose
of trafficking. CBSA officer discovered 192 vacuum-sealed
bags of marijuana, totaling 102.6 kilograms in a tractor-trailer.
Litt was driving the truck
The tractor-trailer was carrying a load of recycled
paper into the United States when officers pulled
it over for a random routine search.
CBSA Officers became suspicious when questioning
the driver. The marijuana had been stashed inside
the electronically controlled compartment located
