Kamini khare Biography- Los Angeles, Dec.11, 2020

 

BIO:

I was born and raised in Hindu family in City of Kanpur, UP, India.

  • My brother is named after Guru Govind Singh Ji. We all children in the family were taught to respect all religion.

We should keep window open in all the direction to get fresh air of wisdom but never become a dry leaf so wind can blow you away to their own direction.

Education was very important part of our child hood.

  • Our whole family is well educated.
  • My mother and grandmother knew how to read and write and knew basic math.
  • My father had degree from well known university name Allahabad university

I did my Master degree in Economics from Kanpur University, Kanpur  India. I have been fascinated with finance, politics and colorful culture of India. 

In my final year of Master degree theses was my one paper.

  • My topic was five years planning for development of India.
  • During that early age I was very clear in my thought that India must develop small industries in rural part of India to solve the unemployment.
  • Economy and Defense should never be given in to foreign hands.

Family:

  • Right after my marriage I came to USA and few years stayed in city Pocatello Idaho. 
  • My Husband was well known virologist and teaching at the university.
  • We had our first son in Pocatello.
  • I joined the university and got my teacher's training.

After spending two years Pocatello Idaho, we moved to California.

  • We met few Indian families and we all realized that we should form some organization where we can get to gather as Indian community to keep our children connected with our religious festival and culture.
  • My neighborhood children use to come to my home on week end to learn Hindi.
  • By this time, I had my daughter also. It was fun for all the children to learn Hindi to gather. 

Association of Southern California Organization:

  • Around 1998, India association of Southern California Organization was established.
  • Thousands of children and young adults participated in all the programs.
  • Our Community came together as Indian at happy events and Sad historic moments.
  • Indra Gandhi memorial service was held in indoor foot ball stadium Junior high school in city of Orange. Auditorium was full to its capacity.
  • Same thing happened   when Rajiv Gandhi was shot to death.
  • ISCS has long history and I became more involved with many other organizations.
  • I feel blessed and humble that I am founder of India Association of Southern California in Orange county with few other friends.
  • Now I am Founder and chairwomen of India association of Southern California.
  • Many people joined IASC our net work and they worked side by side with me and then they formed their own organization.

Gandhi peace foundation Co-founder member:

  • It was formed to help Hindu Refugees in Kasmir.
  • I had planned blanket distribution in Refugee camps.

Radio Mayuri on 1190 Am:

  • Hosted a radio music show for Indian community name Radio Mayuri on 1190 Am radio station on Saturday for few years from city of Anaheim CA

Past president of FIA:

  • I had invited Dharmendra Ji as chief guest for Independence Day celebration) that day was the record crowd at Excelsior High school playground.

Newspaper India-USA Founder:

  • I was publisher of monthly Community newspaper name India-USA two years.
  • As a Free-lance writer, I wrote many plays for community events and wrote many poetries for special occasion.

Publish:

  • Divine mother-- a children story book was published for charity.
  • In 2016, I wrote Ram Leela play for Diwali celebration . That Ram Leela play has been become part of Diwali celebration every year.

I had wonderful journey in community work under IASC banner. I must say that India is my mother land who gave me all and kept me on ground and America become my good friend who gave me the opportunity to touch the sky.
