NRI ‘Chandrika Tandon’ singer, songwriter, and producer has claimed a prestigious Grammy Award for her album Triveni in the “Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album” category at the 2025 Grammy Awards. This victory marks her first Grammy win after previously receiving a nomination.

A remarkable collaboration, Triveni unites Tandon with Grammy-winning South African flutist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese American cellist Eru Matsumoto. Together, they craft a deeply meditative and healing soundscape, blending ancient mantras with the tranquil tones of flute and cello. The album aims to honor cultural heritage while fostering connections across traditions.

“Music is love, music sparks the light within us all, and even in our darkest times, it brings joy and laughter,” Tandon expressed during her award acceptance speech. “I am grateful for every individual who creates and supports music. May our lives always be filled with love, light, and laughter.”

Reflecting on the album’s Grammy nomination, Tandon described Triveni as a union of three artistic souls dedicated to a greater purpose—using music for healing. “These mantras carry deep significance, helping us recognize our inner completeness. Their vibrations go beyond our understanding. This Grammy recognition will allow more people to experience their profound healing energy.”

Beyond her musical achievements, Tandon is a respected philanthropist, business leader, and humanitarian dedicated to spreading happiness through music and education. She has released six albums under Soul Chants Music and has graced renowned venues such as the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Times Square with her performances.

As the first South Asian-American woman to become a partner at McKinsey, Tandon founded Tandon Capital Associates and leads the Krishnamurthy Tandon Foundation. She also serves as a trustee of NYU and chairs the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, making significant contributions to business, education, and community development.

Her accolades include the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, NYU’s Gallatin Medal, and The Town Hall’s Friend of the Arts Award, solidifying her legacy as both a visionary leader and an influential artist.
