The Bruin Bhangra night at the prestigious Terrace Theater in the city of
Long Beach on May 25, 2008

The Bruin Bhangra was held on May 25, 2008 at Terrace Theater in the city of Long Beach. The response from the public was overwhelming and Theater was sold out.
The winners were:

DRP (Da Real Punjabiz from University of California San Diego.............. 1st Place

Bhangra Empire From Bay Area ( San Francisco ) ................................. 2nd Place

 


VCU, Virginia Commonwealth University.. East Coast .......................... 3rd Place

It was so great to see, the younger generation knowing so much about the Punjabi culture and keeping it up to beat. The Bhangra was performed on the new songs and old classic songs, which entertained the younger and senior viewers. The top ten teams came from all over the USA. The team's performance was phenomenal. It was very hard for judges to pick the winner. Bruin Bhangra was a great event.
