40 Free Eye Camps in  Punjab starting October 2012

           The United Sikh  Mission, founded in 2007, by Rashpal Singh Dhindsa, of Fontana, California with  a heart to help one individual with a gift of vision in his home village in  Punjab. This good deed let to his vision that gave him total satisfaction and  enriched the idea of encouraging his fellow NRI's to help him establish an  organization that will cater to millions of Indian men and women who needed a  cataract surgery and could not afford it or had any knowledge that a simple  surgery could fix their problem and they could actually get back their vision.

           Since then the United  Sikh Mission has set up camps anywhere from 5 - 10 - 25 camps each year.  This year a Fund Raising Dinner was held at the "Diamond Palace Indian  Cuisine" in Diamond Bar, California on Friday, June 28, 2012 at 7:00 pm  with a goal to raise $200,000.00 to set up at least 40 camps this October 2012. This sincere objective to serve the community  has been tremendously rewarding. It is some sense of satisfaction to give a  gift of vision to your fellow beings. The evening was a very successful  findraising Event with an outstanding response.  
            Dr Amarjit Singh Marwah  chaired the Fund Raising Function of United Sikh Mission in which large number  of Professionals, Business Entrepreneurs and Academicians participated. He  appreciated the great philanthropic work being done by United Sikh Mission in  the remote Villages of Punjab by way of Eye Camps and Health Camps which help  the poor and needy people of Punjab in getting or regaining the bliss of their  Visions to happily see the World again. The laudable Contribution of S Rashpal  Singh Dhindsa as the Kingpin of these humanitarian Programs was highlighted in  this context. He is Chairman of United Sikh Mission. Whereas more than 70 Eye  Camps have already been successfully conducted by USM in India from 2006 to  2011, the marvelous support of holding 40 Camps in the Current Year 2012 was  mustered in the very nicely arranged Function of 29th June. The 35  Donors of the 2011 Camps and Supporters of USM were honored by way of  Commendation Plaques. There was great enthusiasm by the new Donors for the  planned 51 Camps of 2012.  
            Sh. Amit Gosain, vice  president of BJP Youth , Punjab and Grandson of the Punjab’s earlier Health  Minister Sh. Satpal Gosain made a very impressive Presentation regarding the  helpful role of Punjab Government in supporting the Humanitarian Ventures and  Missions like the praiseworthy United Sikh Mission USA and assured substantial  support in the 2012 Eye and Health Camps of USM scheduled for oncoming October  and November 2012. 
           Program was commendably  presented by the great Compeer Ms. Asha Shrama  accompanied by Ms. Baljit Kaur Toor. Dr. Piara Singh was the Co-Chairperson and  adoringly appreciated the great Humanity Service being done by USM. 
          S Pritam Singh made highly  impressive presentation regarding the Background, Achievements and Goals of  United Sikh Mission which greatly motivated the potential Donors for the future  Camps/Programs. 
           Representing the Donors, S  Iqbal Singh Samra shared the first hand experiences of the Eye Camps already  conducted in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in India and their great benefits to the  really needy people suffering from Visionary Impairments. 
           Mr. Michael Singh, the great  Hollywood Film Maker shared his personal motivating experiences from India  which he gained in the course of his dedicated Video Coverage of the Eye &  Health Camps in Punjab & UP for months together and showed the very nicely  prepared Movie on the 2011 Camps. 
            The MC (Master  of the Ceremony) Mrs Asha Sharma did a tremendous job keeping the crowd  pledged. She is an amazing comedian and a powerful speaker who is constantly  cutting punjabi jokes and amusing the crowd. She always gets her job done.
