District Governor Visits Lions Club Of Little India

Lion Larry Wehage, District Governor, along with Vice District Governor Lion Tessy Prumatico and District Cabinet Secretary Lion Nancy Mcafee paid official visit to Lions Club of Little India at the Tandoor Restaurant, Orange, CA.
The meeting started with flag salutation by Club President Lion Amrit Bhandari, followed by welcome speech by Chairman Lion Dilip Butani. There after Butani introduced Vice Governor Tessy who, as per protocol, introduced the District Governor.
District Governor in his speech praised the Club of its 15 years of existence and the various projects undertaken by the Club over the years. Treasurer Lion Kantilal Shah gave details of the accounting of the Club while Secretary Lion Ajay Khetani proposed vote of thanks. This was followed by music program by various artists and a sumptuous dinner.

Lions Club Of Little India New Team Installed

Lions Club of Little India’s new team, for the Lionistic year 2015-16, was installed by former Mayor Dr Prakash Narain. The glittering ceremony was held at The Tandoor Restaurant, Orange CA. Artesia Councilmember Ali S. Taj was the other Guest of Honor.
Dilip Butani was installed as Chairman, while Amrit Bhandari was installed as President. The others installed were Ajay Khetani-Secretary, Kantilal Shah-Treasures, Ramesh Bhatt, Aparna Hande, Vasu Pawar, Siddharth Pathak & Nauzad Sadry as Vice-Presidents; Dr Kailash Dhamija as Membership Chairman, Bharat Shah as Lion Tamer and Subhash Tolia as Tail Twister. The Directors installed include Ram Tasildar, Mohan Sharma, Raj Walia, Jash Patel, Ravji Patel, Manu Patel and Dr Chopra.
The program began with flag salutation by Amrit Bhandari followed by welcome address by Dilip Butani. Next Honorary Patron K V Kumar, Patron Uka Solanki, Patron Sunil Tolani, Ramesh Bhatt and Siddharth Pkathak were honored with plaques. K V Kumar, Sunil Tolani, Hasya Kavi Dr Jagdish Trivedi and Diamond Bar Lions Club President Sam Bhogal congratulated the new team and spoke on the occasion. Ajay Khetani spoke about various activities while Kantilal Shah proposed vote of thanks.
Next was a wonderful presentation by Sponsor Hermine Abrahamian of New York Life. This was followed by non-stop music program by Ram Tasildar and Shruti Balakrishnan. The program ended with a sumptuous dinner.
