Lions Club of Little India Awards and Recognition

Lions Clubs International recognizes a Lions Club of Little India members who has achieved outstanding accomplishments during the year, contribute their time and effort to serve their own communities to which they all belong.
District Governor Lion Kenny Shu paid official visit to Lions Club of Little India at The Tandoor Restaurant, Orange, CA, on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2004 to give award four NRI entrepreneurs, community leaders and business people. These are:
“It has been an amazingly many years and I believe that the LIONS CLUB founders laid the foundation with their untiring, unselfish, passionate spirit, dedication, commitment on which we can build on and apply the learning of other lions centers all over the U.S. and around the world and make our LOCAL lions assc into a really unparalleled and unrivalled association,” said Tolani who owns award winning hotels franchised by World's largest hotel brands like IHG, MARRIOTT, HILTON, CHOICE, BEST WESTERN, HYATT and STARWOOD. “My vision is to provide a platform that would serve as a bridge between Indian Americans and mainstream society, regardless of religions, politics or of the diverse heritages of India with The idea to set up something that is secular and focused on the new upcoming generations building an continued successful institution that will be able to serve a large number of our community members of all ages particularly seniors and children, uniting our community and steering clear of politics and all the other issues that have traditionally divided various other INDIAN ASSOCIATIONS.”
