Lions Club of Little India Installs New Team

District Vice-Governor Lion Kenny Shu installed the new executive team of The Lions Club Of Little India for the Lionistic year 2012-13; at The Tandoor Restaurant, Orange, CA, on August 1, 2012, before a large gathering.

Shu installed Lal Thakrar as the President, Dilip Butani as the Chairman, Amrit Bhandari as Immediate Past President and K V Kumar as Vice Chairman. Others installed were Ramesh Bhatt as Secretary, Ajay Khetani as Treasurer, Ramesh Ramnanai, Vijay Patil, Manu Patel, Gary Singh & Nauzad Sadry as Vice-Presidents, Sameer Gajjar as Deputy Secretary, Kantilal Shah as Deputy Treasurer, Ravji Patel as Lion Tamer, Subhash Tolia as Tail Twister, Dr Kailash Dhamija as Membership Chairman and Kris Kakkar as Deputy Membership Chairman. The Directors installed include; Rashmi Shah, Balbir Singh, Prakash Pancholi, Dr Ramesh Kothari, Dr Vinod Sahani, Dr Jhanak Chopra,  Siddharth Pathak, Dinesh Gala, Ram Tasildar, Bhavna Chawla, Ashok Madan, Chandru Shroff and Subbu Shanmugham.

The meeting started with a welcome address and flag salutation by Amrit Bhandari followed by introduction of guests by Dilip Butani. Next, sponsor Ajit Dudhekar gave a wonderful presentation on home financing followed by Club activities report by Ajay Khetani. Vice Governor Shu installed the new team and praised Club members about the various activities conducted regularly. Incoming President Thakrar in his acceptance speech mentioned about the forthcoming projects. Zone Chair Lion Larry Wehage congratulated the new team followed by vote of thanks by Ramesh Bhatt.

Vice-Governor honored Lion Dilip Butani with a special Governor pin for completing 30 years in Lionism.

Versatile singers Nauzad Sadry, Bhavna Chawla and Ram Tasildar entertained everyone with non-stop popular bollywood numbers. This was followed by a sumptuous dinner.
