Aryans students shine in cultural extravaganza “Roshaan”

Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) organized annual cultural extravaganza “Roshaan” at the Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh today. Sh Chander Shekhar, IPS, ADGP (Railways/Traffic) Punjab was the Chief Guest on the occasion While Sh.R.P.Singh, IPS, IGP (Traffic) was the guest of honour. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. Around 350 MBA/BBA/BCA students of Aryans Business School (ABS), Aryans School of Management (ASM) and Aryans Institute of Management and technology (AIMT) participated in the colorful cultural items.
Students of Aryans Group presented a colorful cultural programme which included bhangra, giddha, group dances, western dance, Punjabi dance, fusion, skits, mime, choreography, folk dance, fashion show, solo songs, solo dance, and guitar playing etc. Many students were honoured for their achievements in academics, sports, cultural & extra curricular activities. Ravinder Vikram of MBA IV and Sukhbir of BCA IV were adjudged the best student.
Sh Chander Shekhar, IPS, ADGP (Railways/Traffic) Punjab said that besides studies, extra co-curricular activities are equally important. They help in the overall development of the students.Also present on the occasion were Prof. D. C. Kataria, Vice- Chairman; Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kataria, Director General, Dr.D.P. Singh, Dr.A.S.Balgir, Dr.Manjit Kalra and many others.
The event commenced on a spiritual note with Saraswati Vandana by Iram and group. While, a Himchalidance under the leadership of Rakesh and party enthralled the audience, Rajasthani dance by Jyoti and group brought the audience onto their heels.On the other hand, Punjabi group dance “Bhangra” by Sukhbir & group, “Dangerous group dance” by Bismay & group, “Punjabi dance” by Harmeet & group, “western dance” dance by Dinesh and Avneet, “fusion” by Bismay and Nitika and many others brought the audience to their toes.A choreography depicting College Life by Shilpika & others made remember all present the freshness of college life. A well choreographed fashion show by Bismay depicted the students in various colorful and magnificent outfits.
