Millions of NRIs have a reputation for being hard-working and
successful. Beyond the religious events and current affairs, this
summer brought many cultural gatherings for NRIs across the country.
Many organizations are aimed at Indian Americans from particular
regions in India. Diwali and Vasakhi are the most popular events
celebrated by NRIs world wide.
Few months back, NRIs celebrated Mother's Day every where in
North America. Interestingly, this month, on June 15, Father's
day was celebrated by Los Angeles's poplar singer Gurdeep Grewall
along with her team in Bombay-Garden, 17221 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia
(near Los Angeles).
Father's day celebration started at 8pm and continued
until mid night.

father. She always enthralles the audience with her singing. She
was born and raised in East Africa where her parents emigrated

Bombay-Garden restaurant at Pioneer Boulevard, Artesia, California
Pioneer Boulevard, Artesia, California is a half an hour away
from Downtown Los Angeles. Artesia is an enclave of eateries,
markets, and stores known as Little India. It's the second largest
ethnic Indian community in the United States, just behind New
York City. Little India is located on Pioneer Boulevard in Artesia,between

Bombay-Garden restaurant, Cuisine of India,
which opened on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2008. Allan Chowdhury,
owner, 20 years experience in restaurant business has opened the
new eatery along with wife Ellen. Whether you are a veggie lover
or a meat craver, Bombay-Garden's assortment of flavorful delicious
and affordable menu is sure to satisfy even the heartiest appetite.
The restaurant which can accommodate almost 200 guests and is
decorated with rich soothing colors and accented with romantic
dim lighting, so that you can relax and allow their professional
and courteous staff to indulge you and your guests.
The buffet, start off with two vegetarian appetizers, followed
by four vegetarian entrees, two chicken dishes, tandoori chicken,
one lamb curry, rice, naan ( plain or garlic) , fruits, salads
and two desserts. You can enjoy dishes like Shahi Paneer, Malai
Kofta, Mushroom Masala, Karahi Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Fish Masala
and Lamb Malai
The first father's day was celebrated in
fair mont on July 5, 1908. The United States is one of
the few countries in the world that has an official day on which
fathers are honored by their children. On the third Sunday in
June, fathers all across the United States are given presents,
treated to dinner and special gifts.
In 2008, it is celebrated on June 15 in most countries.
It was originated in Spokane, Washington. In 2009, it will be
