Bob Buster, Supervisor, First District County of Riverside, California
has served the Riverside County Board of Supervisors since 1993.
He also served on the Riverside City Council for two terms in 1980-1983
and 1990-1992.
Bob is currently Chairman of the March Joint Powers Authority.
His 1st District includes the cities of Lake Elsinore, and most
of the City of Riverside. He also represents unincorporated areas
such as Gavilan Hills, Lake Hills, Lake Mathews, Mead Valley, Temescal,
Wildomar and Woodcrest. Bob's backgroud:
- Riverside City native and a fifth generation Californian.
- Belongs to farming family of citrus grove.
- Served United States Army
- Initiated the process to put the 91 Toll Roads back into public
hands
- Well-planned transportation corridors within the County and
connectors to other areas of the region are critical to traffic
circulation.
- A strong advocate of local control and has worked to maintain
cooperation among the cities in the County
- Attended Harvard University and attending Oxford.
- Well-planned blueprint for growth and development will benefit
future generations by providing a balanced environment of open
space, farming and urban development.
- Worked to preserve the historical integrity of Riverside’s
citrus greenbelts and surrounding hillsides, as well as working
to create and protect the Santa Rosa Plateau Nature Reserve, the
Santa Ana River, Sycamore Canyon Park and the Citrus Heritage
Park.

He is very helpful to NRI (non-resident Indians) community in
riverside County. He encouraged NRI community to participate in
the development of Riverside county and invite them to come forward
if they need any help from him.
