She has served as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister Responsible for Seniors, and as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.

Mangat said there are several items on her agenda she would
like to address when she arrives at Queen's Park.
"I will work for the residents of my community of Mississauga-Brampton
South," Mangat commented. "I would like to tackle
education, healthcare, gridlock."
