Member of Parliament for Padang Serai N. Gobalakrishnan and Ex- (PKR) Parti Keadilan Rakyat supreme council member announced his resignation from all party positions with immediate effect. He said:
· Good morning to all Malaysians. I herebby announce that I am resigning from all the posts I am holding in PKR and will continue my career through a new non-governmental organisation
· These are coordinated moves by the Azmin Ali-Anwar cartel. I am one of very few people in the party calling for investigations into party elections· I would not be join the ranks of “Barisan-friendly” independent MPs.

· I am not BN friendly. I am going to concentrate on my own NGO which aims to uplift the standard of living of former estate workers and other poor communities.· I have been approached by PAS and DAP leaders but I am keeping my options open because I will only work with a party that fits well with my NGO,”This has nothing to do with Tenang, (but) because my division called for a meeting today (Sunday) without my knowledge, I decided to call it quits yesterday (Saturday),” Gobalakrishnan, told the local news papers
