Pravin Mody is the Founder CEO / Chairman of  GBS Linens, Inc since August 1984 and now his daughter is president. GBS Linens  is a family-owned business that  manufactures, sells, rents, and launders tablecloths and related products for this industry in California, Nevada and Arizona. GBS provides one-stop shopping for table linens and accessory products for the special events industry.

In1984, he bought a small laundry business with 6 employees in 2,400 square feet leased facility and established GBS Linens, Inc. with factories and warehouses in eight major cities in five states from Pacific to Atlantic and now several hundred employees.

• He worked as General Manager of a  Company  which manufactured life-saving medical devices, almost 14-15 years.

• In 1992 at the age of 51, he got first heart bypass surgery. In 1998, he had a second heart bypass surgery

• In 2014, under routine check up, the doctors found his lung  infected with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He felt that he was exposed with some chemicals  when he was working in labs in 1960-70

• He avoid  to fly these days  due to his lungs need extra oxygen but he travelled lot in the past.

• 1979-1981: He got M.B.A., Business Management from Pepperdine University

• 1965 – 1967:  He got Master in  Industrial Engineeering from  University of Oklahoma

• 1962 – 1965: He got  B.S. ( Ch.E,), Chemical Engineering from University of Oklahoma

He is actively involved and helping  in charitable projects such as Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation, South Asian Help and Referral Agency (SAHARA),  Bidada health fairs in Kutch, India and Pratham and Ahimsa Center at Cal Poly University at Pomona.
