NRI Ashok Amritraj, former tennis player and a Hollywood producer in Log Angeles announced his new movie, in the 19th-century drama Unbound Captives, and Madeleine Stowe will make her directorial debut from a script she cowrote more than 15 years ago, according to Variety. "Unbound Captives" starring Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson.

Stowe originally wrote the script in the early 1990s with her husband Brian Benben (Dream On), but she turned down a multimillion dollar offer from Fox when they wouldn’t promise her anything more than a writing credit.

Madeleine Stowe’ll direct this movie and Weisz will play the role Stowe once envisioned for herself, a frontier woman whose husband is killed and whose two children are kidnapped. Pattinson will play her son, and Jackman will play the man who comes to her rescue.

There is rumor that this movie will be Ashok Amritraj's biggest budget movie around $80-$100 million. Our press reporter contacted to Amritraj's office for this confirmation. Assistant to Ashok Amritraj did not confirm this budget report and said that Ashok Amritraj is in Paris now, will be back on this weekend

According to the Variety, Amritraj sparked to the idea of Stowe directing; she'll be helped by an experienced cinematographer in John Toll, who shot epics "Braveheart" and "The Last Samurai."

Hyde Park Intl. will sell offshore territories at Cannes, and Endeavor Independent, which packaged the pic, will sell North American distribution rights.
