We invite you join Punjabi Cultural Society Annual Program P.C.S. Night
2003 on Saturday, November
22, 2003, 7pm at Hanging Gardens Banquets, 8301 W. Belmont Ave., River
Grove,
a suburb of Chicago near O'Hare airport.
Several award winning Bhangra teams from England, Toronto, Vancouver,
New
York, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois are preparing to compete in
the second
"International Bhangra Competition" in Chicago followed by
World famous pop
singer & Bhangra King "MALKIT SINGH" of Tutak Tutak Tutian
fame <A HREF="www.Malkit.com">www.Malkit.com</A>
and his award winning group of musicians Golden Star orchestra from
U.K. and
their mega-star vocalist will perform live in concert from England with
its live
orchestra and open dance floor.
"P.C.S. Night" programs have sold out in advance nine years
running.
Tickets are on sale now online at PCS website www.PCSChicago.org College
student
groups will be recognized at the party. Advance VIP table reservations
are a
must. Strict security arrangements have been made. All general admission
tickets
include dinner. Parking is free. Donations are $35, $50, and $100. Children
under the age of eight are admitted free of charge, but are not seated.
VIP special front table seats for special donors and sponsors are also
available. Gold, Platinum, and Grand Sponsorship opportunities are also
available.

"The Bhangra teams will be judged on the traditionality, authenticity,
costumes, & creativity in their performance, 1st prize is $2500,
2nd prize is $1500,
3rd prize is $1000.
PCS seeks SPONSORS/DONORS for its not for profit events and they will
be
appropriately recognized at the event. Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago
is a
registered non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization with Internal Revenue
Services ID
# 37-1321120 and your donations made to PCS are tax deductible to the
extent
permitted by IRS. The funds raised from this show will be used to develop
well-needed Punjabi Community Center.
Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago is thankful to Dr. Birinder Singh

for serving as P.C.S. Honorary Chairman for the year 2002-03. New P.C.S.
Office bearers will be introduced at "P.C.S. Night '2003"
Vaisakhi Cultural celebration "Rangla Punjab '2004": Program
planning meeting
will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at 12:00 noon at Palatine Park
District followed by Weekly Rehearsals every Sunday. Please join hands
with Punjabi
Cultural Society of Chicago (P.C.S.) in organizing "Rangla Punjab
'2004" on
Saturday, April 03, 2004 at Gateway Theatre in Chicago. Interested participants
must register by January 18, 2004. via phone, e-mail or online.
"Rangla Punjab" has been a major annual state of the art traditional
Punjabi
Cultural variety event in the Chicagoland area since last two decade,
to
preserve and promote Punjabi language, cultural heritage and to encourage
and
harness local Punjabi artists including youth and children.
P.C.S. Scholarships: P. C. S. will be awarding its annual $500 Scholarships
to college going Punjabi Students at Graduation Night '2004" in
June 2004.
Completed applications must be received by PCS by May 9, 2004. To support

PUNJABI YOUTH GRADUATION NIGHT: PCS will hold 4th Annual Punjabi Youth
Graduation Night in Chicagoland in June 2004 to honor Punjabi Graduates
for their
achievements. All the graduates of the year 2004 shall register their
names with
PCS to be honored at this event. Rangla Punjab 2004 Participants will
also be
honored at the Youth Graduation Night.
Punjabi Sports Festival '2003: was organized by P.C.S. at Palatine
Community
Park with record attendance. Palatine mayor Rita Mullins inaugurated
the
festival. See attached news release for more details. "Punjabi
Sports Festival
2004" is being planned in the summer of 2004.
ASIAN AMERICAN COALITION OF CHICAGO: will be hosting 21st Annual Dinner
Banquet on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Rosemont,
IL. Thai
Americans is the host community for next year's event. PCS Co-sponsors
and
partner in organizing this mainstream event. For further info please
