Canada has recently updated its travel advice for several popular destinations, urging Canadians to review safety conditions before travelling. The latest advisories include changes for India, Indonesia, Nepal, China and other countries, with risk levels varying by destination and region.
For India, Canada currently advises travellers to “exercise a high degree of caution” because of the threat of terrorist attacks, while some regions carry additional warnings.
Canada has also updated advisories for Nepal and China following severe flash flooding and mudslides along their border, warning travellers about the potential for further flooding and related hazards.

Ebola border measures affecting travel to Canada and the U.S.

The Government of Canada and the U.S. Transportation Administration (TSA) have introduced temporary border requirements related to an Ebola outbreak. These measures may affect travellers who have recently been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda or South Sudan, including if they were only transiting through these countries (within 21 days of travel).
