India Express commence flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Kuwait

Air-India Express, a low-cost airline-subsidiary
of Air India, launch flight operations from Thiruvananthapuram to
Kuwait from January 24, 2009.
Every Saturday, it depart from Thiruvananthapuram
at 8.15 p.m. and reach Kuwait at 11.05 Kuwait local time. From Kuwait,
it will depart at 00.30 on Sundays to reach Thiruvananthapuram at
7.50 a.m
The chief guest for the inaugural function at the
airport was State Law Minister M. Vijayakumar
Air-India Express's main base is Cochin
International Airport, Kochi, with a hub at Trivandrum International
Airport, Thiruvananthapuram.
Air-India Express offers flights to major international destinations
within a distance of around 4 hrs from different cities in India.
Most of the flights are quick-turn-around flights with a ground
time of around 1-hour at the destinations.
Currently Air India Express flies to 10 international destinations–
Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Muscat, Salalah, Singapore, Bahrain,
Doha, and Columbo from 9 Indian cities – Kozhikode, Kochi,
Thiruvananthpuram, Mumbai, Delhi, Amritsar, Chennai, Mangalore and
Tiruchirapally.
On the domestic front, Air India Express operate on Mumbai-Kochi,
Mumbai-Kozhikode, Mumbai-Delhi, Mumbai-Chennai, Delhi-Amritsar,
Kozhikode-Kochi, Kozhikode Thiruvananthpuram and Kochi-Thiruvananthpuram
sectors.
