Canadian NRI Ravinderpal Singh Batsman
drafted by Sri Lanka’s Colombo Kings

Ravinderpal Singh of Canada, 32, has been drafted by the Colombo Kings as one of its overseas player selections for the 2020 Lanka Premier League (LPL).

The opening ceremony will be held on the 21 November 2020  The five-team cricket league is scheduled to run Nov. 21 to Dec. 13, 2020 at stadiums in Kandy and Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

  • The 2020 Lanka Premier League will be the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in Sri Lanka.
  • Five teams based on various Sri Lankan cities will play a total of 23 matches for a period of 15 days.
  • As a member of the Colombo Kings Squad, Ravinderpal Singh will be playing alongside former Sri Lankan captain Angelo Matthews, South Africa’s Faf du Plessis, and the West Indies T20 icon Andre Russell

The five-team cricket league is scheduled to run Nov. 21 to Dec. 13, 2020 at stadiums in Kandy and Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

Ravindrapal Singh  was born  on October 14, 1988 in New Delhi.

In 2019:

  • In October 2019, he was named in Canada’s squad for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the UAEm (United Arab Emirates)
  • In September 2019, he has named in Canada’s squad for the 2019 Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League A tournament.
  • April-June, 2019: Ravindrapal made his List A debut for Canada against Papua New Guinea in the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament on 24 April 2019. In June 2019, he was selected to play for the Toronto Nationals franchise team in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament.
