The local Sikh Sangat community has planned to participate in the
300th celebration of Guru Granth Sahib (religious book), which will
start from October 28 and end on October 30 at the ‘Sachkhand
Sahib’ Sri Hazoor Sahib, Nanded, Maharashtra India.
Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee President Sardar Bishon Singh
said that the celebrations of the ritual would be held at Gurdwara
Janam Asthan (Sri Nankana Sahib) on October 20 at 10am. In a press
release, he said that 550 pilgrims were expected to participate
and commemorate the celebrations.
He said that 450 devotees had applied for a visa to India with
the objective to participate in 300 Sala Gurta Gaddi Diwas celebrations.
He hoped that all the applying pilgrims would be granted visas.
He said that senior government officials would participate in the
rituals. He said that after the celebrations, the pilgrims would
start their sacred journey from Nankana Sahib (Pakistan) to India
through the Wahga Border on the same day. staff report
