              Celebrate Annual Diwali & Musical Extravaganza

Indo-American Senior Heritage (IASH) has Celebrated  their 7th Annual Diwali Musical Extravaganza on October 21st, 2011 in Norwalk ,  California. The evening began with a social gathering and a delicious dinner,  where the businessmen, community   members, professionals from the Los Angeles area gathered to enjoy an  evening of popular Indian songs and laughter. 
              
            This Event was sponsored by Mr. & Mrs. Navinbhai Doshi,  Ukabhai & Naliniben Solanki, J.R. Shah & Rashmi Shah, B. U. & Mrs.  Patel, Mr. & Mrs. Chatur Patel, Ganpatbhai Pariki & Manjula Patel and  Bhupesh & Kumud Parikh. 
             At about 6:45pm, Mr. Jagdish Purohit guided  the crowd to their assigned row seats and introduced Chair-Person Ramji Bhai to  the stage. Ramji Bhai thanked the crowd, shared some of his views and invited  Mr. Chimanbhai Adial, the President of the IASH. He thanked for all the donors,  community members and Event Chair persons. Mr. Chimanbhai requested Master of  Ceremonies Jaspal ji to come on the stage and begin the show.  
              
            Jaspal Singh Ji introduced the artist Jayshree Gohil and her  orchestra and started the program. This Musical Extravaganza was a fun-filled  evening with popular old & new Hindi movie songs: .  
              
            
               Jayshree  Gohil entertained the crowed with some of her popular songs  including: O sajna barkha bahar ayee; Mera chain bain subh ujrra, Muni budnam hui, and also some Gujrati songs including: sas gari dava.  Jayshree Gohil is a national singing star and the lead vocalist of her  Orchestra. She has performed with great acclaim in many communities in the  United States. She gives unique musical performances and offers great support  to the local communities .  
                 
               
               Suresh  Bhatt entertained the crowd with popular songs including:  Jab  say teray naina, Subhanala subhanala, Chodvin ka chand and Ajja  ajja Main hun piayar with Rajshree Gohil.   
                 
               
               Guest star, famous singer Aminder Singh in voice of Mohumad Rafi started singing Rafi's  popular songs like:  Ah mera prem pattar, Yai rashmee Zulfan Yai  sharbti ankhan, and Tum na kaajal lagaya din ma raat ho guyee with  Jayshree Gohil. The Master of Ceremonies, Jaspal Ji, did a great job. He made  an unexpected entrance to spark a laughing riot; he sauntered towards  centre-stage and eyeballed the front row. He used those precision lasers to  pick the subjects for his first strike. He kept the event rolling along by  playfully interacting with the audience.  
             
             
              Indo- American Senior Heritage (IASH)             
 Indo American Senior Heritage (IASH)  is a non-profit organization, was formed in 2004 by well-known community  leaders with the primary goals of satisfying various social, emotional, and  health related needs of people over the age of 50 in Southern California. A  health and wellness cultural group that has much to offer to seniors in Indian  ommunity. There is a very large Indo-American community in Southern Califoria.  All the directors and officers of the organization are providing various  services to the members of IASH without any compensation. The organization grow  from scratch to 575 members and they have once a month event for different  topics of presentation. They organize two big events, Kavi Samelan in May and  Diwali event in October. .
