NRI Abhay Devdas Nayak Arrested for Disruptive Behavior on UK Flight

NRI Abhay Devdas Nayak, 41, resident of Luton, was arrested by Scottish authorities after causing a disruption aboard an EasyJet flight from London Luton to Glasgow.
Mid-flight, Nayak allegedly shouted bomb threats, along with slogans including “Death to America,” “Death to Trump,” and “Allahu Akbar,” prompting panic aboard the aircraft. Fellow passengers subdued him before the plane made an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport.
Upon arrival, authorities charged Nayak with assault and endangering the safety of an aircraft under the UK’s Air Navigation Order. No terrorism charges have been filed. He appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court and entered no plea. He remains in custody with his next court appearance scheduled shortly.
The incident led to an immediate emergency response from crew and authorities. EasyJet confirmed the passenger’s removal and is cooperating fully with ongoing investigations
