Punjab Government Launches WhatsApp Helpline Number for NRIs

The Punjab government has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp helpline at 90-56-009-884 to assist Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) facing challenges.

As per an official statement, complaints registered on this number will be directed to the relevant government department and the Additional Director General of Police (NRI Wing) for swift resolution.

Punjab’s Administrative Reforms and NRI Affairs Minister, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting NRIs by simplifying essential administrative procedures. His department is actively streamlining the process of document attestation and countersigning to ensure hassle-free access for NRIs.

Furthermore, the government is facilitating the issuance of crucial documents, including birth certificates, medical records, driving licenses, educational certificates, and police clearance certificates, for overseas Punjabis.

This initiative aims to create an efficient and seamless system, enabling NRIs to address their concerns and access essential services without complications.
