              Dr. Donald Kurth, MD, Mayor of Rancho 
                Cucamonga, California raised more than $100,000 for  
                re-election campaign, much of it from lobbyists, 
                supporters for the Mayor and NRI entrepreneurs on Friday, Feb. 
                08, 2008 at cultural center, Victoria Garden Plaza.
              Karmjit Grewal, well known entrepreneur  
                and philanthropist at Rancho Cucamonga, California 
                already received a Certificate of Recognition by Mayor 
                of Rancho Cucamonga. Mr. Grewal and his 
                family are always looking for ways to help the community, and 
                did so when the 2003 fires happened, as well as the most recent 
                fires on Nov 04, 2007. He stated that all the proceeds that were 
                paid at his Subway Restaurant at Lemon and Haven went to the fire 
                victims from the most recent fires. On Nov 4, his children- Japinder, 
                Tajinder, Manninder, Sam and Jyoti made the banners and promotion 
                plans. 
              Dr DP Singh Nagra said, 
                "This was a fundraiser for a good cause, but children also 
                learned if they have a dream or feel good about doing something 
                in life. If they focus on it and work hard, they can achieve anything 
                and the parents are always there to support them and their dreams". Dr. D.P. Singh Nagra is a Chairman of award winning, 
                international organization "Punjabi Dental 
                Society" which has over 1600 members. Punjabi Dental 
                Society is comprised of a group of dentists who very strongly 
                believe in Continuing Education.
              The following entreoreneurs also participate:
              
                - Nachattar Singh Bhullar, a well known business man, 
                  owner of four 7-Eleven stores in California and elected as vice-president 
                  of 7-Eleven 400 member's association in Southern California. He 
                  is a board of director and ex-president of Walnut Sikh temple. 
                  He is also advisor of LA county committee.
 
                -  Rashpal Singh, an entrepreneur in transportation 
                  business in Fontana who also organize the eye camp for the welfare 
                  of old people in Punjab every year. 1000s old and young people 
                  get the treatment from this camp. 
 
                - Satvir Singh Tung, a business man who own Liquor Store, Surjit 
                  Singh Kahlon owner of convenient stores and Baljinder Dhillon 
                  owner of convenient stores were also participate in the event.
 
              
              With the help of local community and Indian community, 
              the fundraiser was a great success.
