Democratic Congressman NRI Ro Khanna, of Indian origin, has won re-election to represent California’s 17th district in the U.S. House, defeating Republican challenger Anita Chen with a clear lead.
On election day, Khanna posted a message on X, expressing gratitude to his supporters:
"Today is a big day to elect our first female President, along with a Democratic House and Senate.
It’s always good to be home in Fremont. I’m deeply grateful to everyone in the 17th district for getting out to vote today, and I hope to earn your support for another 2 years in Congress."
