INDIAN AMERICAN REPUBLICANS OF CALIFORNIA (IARCA) FORMED

A meeting of Indian Americans from different Organizations was held on October 12, 2011, at the Haveli Restaurant, Artesia to form and elect a Board for IARCA. K.V.Kumar was unanimously elected as the Statewide Chairman. Inder Singh & Dilip Butani were elected State co-chairs and Chairs for Southern California while Niraj Bakshi & Gajanan Bhat were elected State co-chairs and Chairs for Northern California.
Other elected officers are as follows: Manu Patel, Amrit Bhandari & Harmeet Dhillon, Deepi Singh & Anjali Naskar as State Vice Chairs; Ramesh Ramnani & P.K. Nayak as Secretary & Treasurer and Bobby Kumar, Mahesh Parekh, Kris Kakkar, Ramesh Bhatt, Prakash Pancholi, Subhash Desai, Raghuram Shetty, Sarbjit Mann and Yogesh Desai as County Co-chairs.
The other committee co-chairs include: Lal Thakarar, Kiran Rami, Anil Parekh,
Mukesh Kumar, Harshad Mody, Inder Perkash, Shri Mishra Manorama Sharma, Gajanan Bhat, Vic Rathi, Pritinder Sigh Arora, Arvind Agarwal, Kusum Panwala, Tilak Chopra, Ajay Khetani, Sheetal Desai, Ravjibhai Patel, Ajoy Dube, Saurabh Jain, Thakor Desai, Harmeet K. Dhillon Esq., Arit Butani Esq. and Raghu Mathur.
Statewide Chairman Kumar has a MS degree in Organization Development & Planning and BS in Economics Diploma. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed KV Kumar to the California State Bar Board of Governors Examining Committee. In 2005, Kumar was appointed by President George W. Bush as the first Indian-American to the U.S. Small Business Administration National Advisory Council. He was an official member of the U.S. Trade Delegation to Sri Lanka and India in 2006 and 2007.
Kumar has decades of executive, organizational, administrative and management experience. He has expertise in strategic planning, policy analysis, liaison, crisis management, excellent negotiation skills, outstanding networking abilities, building alliances with public and private sector entities and excellent presentation & communication skills. Kumar has first hand working experience in international organizations worldwide. He also is a strong advocate for small businesses.
