Two
NRIs elected with a Landslide Victory
for "Democratic National Committee" of Hillary Clinton

NRI Nachhatar Singh Bhullar, entrepreneur, yesterday
won with a landslide Victory as a member of "Democratic National
Committee" DNC for 26 Dist. (near LA) of Hillary Clinton. He
received 78 votes out of 137 votes. Two Female candidates, Ms. Rachel
Pelham and Ms. Denise Tornatore were also elected.

Fourteen candidate were in the race for 26 Dist.#,
cities included- Arcadia, San Gabriel, Altadena, LA Candra, Monrovia,
Duarate, Irvandale, Asuza, LA Vern San Dimas, Glendora, Walnut,
El-Monte, Covina, Mt. Clair, Clairmont, Upland, San Moreno, Bradbury,
Seira Madre, Mont Clair, and Claremont
Mr. Bhullar came this Country in 1988 and did few odd jobs before
becoming successful business man.
- He started working on 7-Eleven Store and after getting some
experience, bought one store in 1997.
- Now he owns four 7-Eleven Stores and one gas station.
- He was also elected vice president of 7-Eleven Store franchise
Association in Jan 2008 in Southern California
- He is the president of Punjabi Cultural Society of Walnut which
organize community functions every year
- He is the board of director of Walnut Gurdwara. He served two
times as president of Walnut Gurdwara
Mr. Bhullar, well-known philanthropist and entrepreneur won this
election because of "the eminence of his wisdom and integrity."
Resham Singh, a Convenient Store owner from
Bakersfield won the election with a landslide Victory
by getting 89 votes out of 108 votes polled. He was one
of the six candidates who were running for 22nd Dist#

Resham Singh is residing in US for the past 25 years and attached
with democratic party since 1990. He said he was working to elect
many democrats, register Democrats, and fight to make sure that
every vote is counted. He said he is involved in politics to show
whole world that sikh people with turban are peaceful, honest, hard
working and loyal to this country.
He was highly involved in local Gurwara management, other community
functions and services
