The Trump administration is reportedly seeking a new ultra-long-range business jet—likely a Gulfstream G800 or Bombardier Global 8000—to shuttle FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi for “executive transportation requirements” and critical missions, according to procurement documents reviewed by The Independent.
The request states the aircraft must accommodate at least twelve passengers, three crew members, and 1,000 lbs of cargo with a range of 7,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.83+, likely intended for counterterrorism and high-risk FBI operations. However, the stated use by Bondi and Patel sparked controversy given ongoing budget cuts to key agencies.
A Department of Justice spokesperson clarified the plan remains in proposal stage, with Bondi “unaware of the plan and not in favor of its use in Main Justice”.
