Justices side with Trump administration in border dispute over asylum seekers

Supreme Court the 6-3 majority, Justice Samuel Alito said that courts cannot override the federal government's determination about TPS status.
A White House official said after the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration could end deportation protections for some migrants:
- This is a victory 10 years in the making.
- Nearly 350,000 Haitians and hundreds of Syrians directly affected by the ruling, but also nationals from several other countries in the coming months, including El Salvador and Ukraine.
The court also cleared the way for the Trump administration to revive a controversial policy that aims to curb the number of migrants that officials at the southern border must process to determine whether they have a right to seek safe haven in the US.
