its 8,700 members own 40% of U.S. hotel rooms and more than half
in the economy category.n

million on Wall Street and 500 more in development. Revenues this
year are put at $200 million.Some, especially the boutiques branded
as "Hautel Couture by Vikram Chatwal," rent rooms and
suites for princely sums, up to $5,000 a night, to the glitterati.
