BADAL CALLS ON FAMILIES OF VICTIMS OF OAK CREEK TRAGEDY
CONVEYS SYMPATHIES WITH THE BEREAVED FAMILIES AND WISHES SPEEDY RECOVERY FOR INJURED
WISCONSIN (USA) AUGUST 09:
Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal visited the bereaved families of the six victims of shooting incident in Oak Creek Gurdwara on Tuesday and conveyed condolences with them in this hour of crisis.
Expressing solidarity with the members of these families, the Chief Minister said that it was really a painful moment for all those who have lost their beloved ones in this unfortunate and tragic incident. He also visited the injured in the local hospital to enquire their well being and wished them speedy recovery. The Chief Minister also met the injured US Police officer, who was also recuperating in the hospital and highly appreciated the exemplary courage shown by him in saving several innocent lives in this ghastly attack.
Mr Badal assured that the Punjab government would extend all possible help along with other logistic support to the relatives of the victims. On the occasion the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give enormous strength to these bereaved families for bearing this huge loss and grant eternal peace to the departed souls.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister had earlier announced that the state government would bear the entire expenditure on the transportation of the bodies from US to India. Mr Badal had already called up Indian Ambassador in US Ms Nirupama Rao to ensure the security and safety of the Sikh community.
