NRI, Parag Saxena is a seasoned venture capitalist of nearly two decades and CEO of INVESCO Private Capital. Parag has been involved in more than 300 private transactions, helping numerous private companies to become public companies.

Parag led INVESCO's investments in Amgen, Argose, Amber Networks, Centocor, DiscoveRx, Genomics Collaborative, Ishoni Networks, SmartPipes and Xenon Genetics as well as the following investments which have gone public: Alkermes, ARM Holdings, Celgene, Healthsouth Rehabilitation, Indigo and Transgenomic. Parag serves on the partnership advisory boards for Accel, Abbingworth, Essex Woodlands, Kiwi I Ventures and Skyline Venture Partners. He is also on the board of Transgenomic and several private company boards.

In 1983, Parag joined Citicorp Investment Management, a predecessor firm of INVESCO. He built a $1.5 billion small-cap group with a top-decile record prior to co-founding the private capital group. His career began in 1978 at Becton Dickinson as a product manager. He was later recruited by Booz, Allen and Hamilton to join their Technology Management Services Group, focusing on business strategy development.

Parag received a M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. He earned a B.Tech from The Indian Institute of Technology in 1977, and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies in 1978. He is registered with the NASD as a General Securities Representative (Series 7).

Parag is the President of TIE (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) and a Trustee of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan (NY).
