Following Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential election victory, former GOP primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy voiced confidence in Trump’s focus on bringing Americans together. Speaking on ABC’s This Week with Jonathan Karl, Ramaswamy described uniting the country as Trump’s “number one focus.”

“I believe he cares deeply about unity,” Ramaswamy said, noting that after the election, Trump aims to create an environment where Americans can move beyond their differences. “Ordinary Americans who may have voted differently should still feel connected as Americans at the end of the day,” he added.

Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris included reclaiming seven critical battleground states, six of which Biden won in 2020. This marks a notable comeback for Trump, who has faced ongoing legal and political challenges since leaving office in 2021. His win is seen by supporters as a “mandate” for his agenda, with Ramaswamy expressing optimism about Trump’s renewed focus and readiness to “take unfinished priorities to new heights.”

Celebrating with supporters early Wednesday, Trump declared this moment “a golden age for America.” He described the outcome as “a powerful mandate,” pledging to achieve his vision to “make America great again.”
