Biography of Darshan Singh Jammu ::
Hello, My name is Darshan Singh Jammu, I am from Kapurthala, Punjab. In 1992, I moved to BC, Canada where I began to lay new roots. From here, I started a family with my lovely wife, and we had our first born son in 1994 and our second just a year later.
- Working various jobs for the next few years, it wasn't till 2000 where I had found a job that I could settle into.
- This was the time I began my career as a longshoreman. For those who aren't aware, a longshoreman is a dock-worker that works at Container and Break-Bulk Ports.
- We are responsible for the safe and efficient transport of various cargo that runs and fuels our economy.
- Fast forward about 15 years, I opened up my company and business called Jammu Enterprise Inc.
- Here, I had begun the construction of new homes and mortgage lending.
- Always being business oriented, this was the next step forward in my career path. Alongside this, I had also opened up another business under the same name in America. This business involved the wholesale of goods to local convenience and liquor stores. Under this business I also owned various gas stations and convenience stores.
- I started this business with a distant cousin, who had already established roots in this industry in California. Having owned a gas station previously, my cousin helped to expand the business further over the next few years.
