House Warming with a Style

A house warming party was hosted by Dr. Kenneth Shah & Mrs. SriLata K Shah of Las Vegas, NV on September 6, 2009, Sunday evening. The property is located on the hills of Las Vegas and in the gated community. When we reached there, the Valet Parking team was waiting for the convenience of the guest’s car parking. We walked down a few steps and reached to the main entrance of the house. A smart young man in a uniform was waiting to open the door to this beautiful palace. As soon as we stepped in the parents of the couple Mr. & Mrs. Jayendra Shah welcomed and greeted us. The wide hallways floor is tastefully done with marble tiles. The high ceiling gave the feeling of very comfortable and warm house. On the right hand side there was circular stairways going up and down to the other floors. Two beautiful waitresses were carrying trays of champagne glasses to greet the guests.

The hallways take you straight into the big family room. There is a big kitchen on the left and in between is a very large semi-circle Bar with Marble countertops. There is a walkway to the back where two bars were set one on each side of the property for the guests. Along one of the wall Indian Horsed’oeuvres buffet with about ten items was set. As the property is on the hill top therefore, one can witness the beautiful view of the Las Vegas casino lights. It is an awesome view.

One can go down on the stairs or the elevates. As soon as you go down you enter to the dancing room. The DJ Sandeep Sandhu of Dhamaka was playing hot numbers from Bollywood music and floor was full with dance lovers. From there you walk out and see two more bars were arranged with all kinds of soft and hard liquors. The guests were drinking and enjoying the snacks. By the way there was a water fall which was coming down into the swimming pool from the upper level. From this lower level one can walk down the a few steps to the beautiful Golf Course. Lighting arrangement was beautiful all over the house.

There were over 400 guests from different parts of Unites States and some from overseas. The event was coordinated and catered by Abhijit Misra. There were about 50 waiters to serve. The delicious Indian dinner was served in beautiful china at 10 PM. Each and every guest enjoyed. All in all it was a House warming party of the decade.

The house is built on three levels. The top floors have the master suite. It is huge and the attached spacious bathroom with very modern fittings and custom gold color metallic tiles is one of a kind in the bathrooms. The whole house is very elegant, contemporary and custom made. It is very tastefully decorated and antique collection is very unique.
