Chandigarh, January 21: THE Minno Sambhi Free
Blood Service for Thalassemic Children was launched
by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator General S.F.

Centre in Sector 37, here today. This project for
thalassemic children has been sponsored by an NRI

The Centre, assisted by three nursing homes, jointly

campaign to fight thalassemia besides providing supportive
therapy to the children suffering from the disorder.
He appealed to the participating NGO to cover all
the registered thalassemic patients in Chandigarh
in a phased manner under the umbrella of free blood
service, which started today.
PGIMER director Dr K K Talwar said there were about
300 registered patients of thalassemia who needed
active support and participation from all quarters
