            Grewal demands 5 per cent commission on sale  value of petrol and diesel in Punjab

            Ludhiana, December 23, 2012: 
             Petrol Pump Dealers  Association, Punjab held a meeting here today, to chalk our strategy for the  future. 
                          Later, addressing the media persons, the association’s  state chief patron Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal told that a special membership  drive would be started across Punjab in the months of January and February  next. 
                          Replying to a question, he told that there were a total  2,832 petrol stations in Punjab. He said many petrol stations were the newly  ones therefore, they thought of carrying out membership drive to enrol new  members. 
                          He told that they demanded 5 per cent commission on sale  value of petrol and diesel. He revealed that presently, commission on petrol  and diesel was 1.79 per cent and 1.08 percent on petrol and diesel, respectively.  He said they also wanted hike in commission on mobile oil, which had not been  increased in the last 25 years. 
                          To a question, he told that they were taking up matter  with the state government for reducing value added tax (VAT) on petrol in Punjab.  He told that they wanted that VAT on petrol should be at par with the  neighbouring states. 
                          Among others, Faridkot District Congress Committee  (Urban) president Surinder Gupta was present.

He welcome all  these families and said now all are workers of BJP. Grewal said that party will  gave suitable and good positions to them in BJP Kisan Morcha. In this public  Rally,  Grewal blamed UPA Government for  the all ordeals of Indian farmers in the country. Grewal  said that UPA government in center has  crossed all the limit of corruption and it has become a symbol of anti poor and  anti farmer government.  Grewal said,  "Congress is busy in looting the farmers and it can't do justice with the  farmers of India. Farmers are under debt and forced to suicide due to Congress.  Now the time has come to replace the anti farmer government." He said that  to discuss the cost of the production of Wheat BJP Kisan Morcha's workshop for  ten States Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Paradesh, Jammu and Kasmir, Uttar Pardesh,  Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Delhi and   Maharastra, workshop will be held at Karnal Club near Bus Stand, Karnal  on  15-16 September in the worthy Presidentship  of our National President Mr. Op Dhankar.   He said that it is to outcome in our workshop which farmers discuss the  production cost in their respective areas in different areas of their districts  and states. Grewal said that National Morcha's and Cell's Incharge Mr. Mahinder  Pandey, National BJP Kisan Morcha Incharge Mr. Satpal Malik, National General  Secretary Organisation Kisan Morcha Hirde Nath singh, Kisan Morcha's National  Office Bearers, Executive Members, State Presidents and District President from  representative states and districts will attend this two days workshop along  with at least two members of their districts he added.

             BJP National Secratry  Kisan Morcha, Incharge Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab Government Vice chairman,  PSIEC Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that trees are  necessary to  maintain the ecological balance. At the time of tree  plantation drive  which is started from Khamano today Grewal  Lashing out at the UPA  government,  Grewal said that UPA government is giving a  step-motherly treatment to farmers in the country and claimed that peasants'  debt was increasing due to its "wrong" policies. Talking with the media  persons here today Grewal alleged that Congress was "looting" the  people and that the government led by it could not protect the interests of  farmers. "Till there is Congress government, suicides by farmers will go  on, prices of fertilisers will keep on rising. Farmers won't get interest-free  loans.   
  
            Congress is looting the people. Government cannot protect farmers  cannot provide justice to them. Farmers are under debt because of UPA's   Government.  Grewal demanded that subsidy should be given to the farmers  directly through their accounts just as it is being done in BJP-ruled Madhya  Pradesh. He said that There should be a review of subsidy policy and we demand  rollback of prices of fertilisers. Minimum Support Price (MSP) should be  increased for farmers' produce. UPA policies have been always anti-farmer.   Grewal said that they cannot give interest-free loans where as in  BJP-ruled states like Karnataka and MP, there is no interest and in  Chhattisgarh, it is one per cent.  He said, "We can only become a  super power if India becomes the 'agri capital' of the world. UPA government is  adopting a step motherly treatment towards farmers. Grewal said that every  month farmers commit suicide. Since Congress took over, prices have increased  for everything. Grewal stressed that the fight for farmers will continue from  Road to Parliament and the movement started from Jantar-Mantar will be expanded  to each and every villages of India.
