Sukhbir Singh Badal
rewarded Grewal by stripping his 17 years old Security arrangements
                immediately after forming Government.
Ludhiana (Bhamian Kalan) March 4, 2009
Senior Bharatiya Janta Party Leader and BJP Investor Cell Punjab
State President Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal spoke his heart to
Gurcharan Singh Galib, SAD BJP Candidate from Ludhiana constituency
while addressing a huge gathering at his residence in Bhamian
Kalan, Ludhiana. Grewal stated that he was the only Leader who
helped Sardar Prakash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal
when Captain Amarinder Singh reign of terror was at the peak for
which a show cause notice was issued by Punjab BJP office for
his suspension. He added that now the opportunist father son duo
almost forgot him and are trying their level best to get him suspended
from BJP. He aggrieved that he and his family is under persistent
threat and events in past corroborate this but Sukhbir Singh Badal
rewarded him for his work by stripping his 17 years old Security
arrangements immediately after forming Government. He rued that
he is prepared for everything including being eliminated while
suspension isn’t a big leap but still he will work for the
welfare for the people and will ensure that SAD BJP alliance wins
                all 13 seats from Punjab.
Grewal stated that Sukhbir Singh Badal is out to penalize him
for taking pro people issues viz. Reduction of Bus Fares, Additional
3% Stamp Duty extortion, Advertisement Scam expose, Taking on
Government over Cyber Terrorism, Advocacy over Bofors Scam sequel
“Indo-Nuclear Deal”, Terming Shri Amarnath Shrine
Board agitation “Nationalist Movement” and playing
positive role in restoration of peace and tranquility in valley.
He added that he is serving his Party and people of Punjab for
last 20 years without any vested political interest and will continue
to serve the philosophy and tenets central of his party whether
in the party or being ousted. But he will leave no stone unturned
in exposing corrupt Transporters who have unduly taken over all
profitable routes forcibly, people behind Advertisement Scam,
illegal Sand Miners, Cable TV grabbers etc who are looting Government
and people of Punjab through their big wig contacts. He said he
would continue his fight against all such vested interests that
are out to spoil his party’s image and in the coming days
he would make startling revelations about their misdeeds in the
                court of people of Punjab.
Grewal also brought to the notice of Sardar Gurucharan Singh
Galib about the problems being faced by BJP Workers ever since
the alliance came into the power. At this time Baldev Singh Hundal
President Bhartiya Kisan Union, Sony Galib, Tejvir Pohir, Jagtar
Singh Bhagpur, Chamkaur Singh Kohara, Sarpanch Ajit Singh, Gurmeet
Singh Grewal Canada, Yograj Sharda District Gen. Secretary BJP
Rural, Lucky Sabharwal and other BJP Rural prominent Leaders were
                present.

              Sukhbir Singh Badal owned Orbit
Bus Service and other companies are amassing an annual Gross Profit
of over 450 crores at prevailing 49 paise per Km, which
is an inordinate burden on people of Punjab and nothing
              Ludhiana 23 February 2009
Senior Bharatiya Janta Party Leader and BJP Investor cell Punjab
State Chief Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal questioned the silence
of Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal and Transport Minister,
Master Mohal Lal on reduction of Bus Fares issue. Grewal stated
that it’s a well-known fact amongst masses that Orbit Bus
Service and some other companies owned by Chief Minister, Punjab
Sardar Prakash Singh Badal and his son and Deputy Chief Minister,
Punjab Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal ply over 300 buses across Punjab
                itself.
Grewal stated that people across Punjab relate Sukhbir Singh
Badal’s demand to decrease Fuel prices in Lok Sabha with
Orbit Bus Service and Sukhbir’s desire to increase profitability
of bus companies owned by him. Grewal added that Sukhbir Singh
Badal owned Orbit Bus Service and other companies are amassing
an annual Gross Profit of over 450 crores at prevailing 49 paise
per Km, which is an inordinate burden on people of Punjab and
nothing less than lust for money. Grewal added that it’s
an opportunity for the father and son duo to reduce Bus fares
to 40 paise per Km and put RAJ NAHI SEWA slogan in practise especially
when Lok Sabha Elections are round the corner.
In his letter to Punjab State BJP President, Professor Rajinder
Bhandari, Grewal stated that the Fuel Prices have gone down to
its 2005 levels but still the government have not rolled back
the fares to 40 paise so as to reduce the burden on the pockets
of over 8.5 lac passengers travelling everyday on Government owned
buses itself. He added that the in addition to Government Buses
an estimated 5 Lac commuters ply on buses owned by Sukhbir Badal
                and other Private Players.
Grewal brought to the notice of Professor Bhandari that Government
prices of Diesel have reduced considerably by Rs 4/- and Government
should considerably reduce bus fares from 49 paise to 40 paise
to provide much abated relief to common man of Punjab especially
when the Diesel Prices have been rolled back to Rs 29.82 below
its year 2005 prices. He added that the above decision will reiterate
“Raj Nahi Seva” slogan given by SAD-BJP alliance before
Lok Sabha Polls especially when most of the Private Fleet of Buses
are owned by companies promoted by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar
Prakash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sardar. Sukhbir
                Singh Badal.

              The party’s
electoral alliance with Ajit Singh’s Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD)
                would surely materialise.
              New Delhi, February 21, 2009
Bharatiya Janta Party National President Rajnath Singh said
today the party’s electoral alliance with Ajit Singh’s
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) would surely materialise. “There
is no reason as to why it (the alliance) should not happen. We
are optimistic,” Singh said in the capital today at BJP
Investor Cell while addressing the Adhiveshan delegates at VP
                House, New Delhi.

The tie up is important for the BJP, which is banking on the
RLD’s support for Rajnath Singh’s victory from Ghaziabad
in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The RLD wields influence
in this area, considered a bastion of RLD chief’s father
and former Prime Minister Choudhury Charan Singh.
The BJP, meanwhile, also demanded a joint parliamentary committee
probe into the Satyam scam - a matter it had yesterday vehemently
argued in the Lok Sabha while opening the debate on the Interim
                Budget.
“Is the government trying to protect Andhra Pradesh Chief
Minister by shying away from its responsibility of constituting
a JPC on the matter?” BJP’s Ananth Kumar had yesterday
                asked.
Rajnath went a step further, accusing the UPA of shattering
India’s economy which was growing at a rate of 8.4 per cent
during the NDA regime. “The growth rate is down to 6.5 per
cent. When Atalji demitted office, the growth rate was stable
at 8.4 per cent. After five years, the UPA has destroyed the economy,
causing millions of job losses. Small investors have been wiped
out,” Rajnath said, at an investors’ meet here.
He also remembered that the NDA had sustained the economic growth
in the face of economic sanctions imposed by the US, post Pokharan-II
and the Kargil War. “If voted to power, we will put in place
an effective regulatory system to prevent Satyam like frauds,”
                he said.
The BJP meanwhile again urged for 4 per cent interest rate on
farm loans, with Rajnath saying the party favoured a policy of
providing farm subsidies directly to farmers instead of industrial
house. “Farmers should get their subsidy money directly,
in their bank accounts, not through industries,” he said
Sh. Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, Punjab State President, BJP
Investor Cell said that UPA govt. has failed on all fronts of
the economy. Grewal expressed the concerns of the retrenchments
and job cuts, lacs of people/employees has been shown the door,
thousands of shops, industries has been close down, crores of
rupees of the small investor has been lost in the share market.
In the result investors have lost faith in capital market which
has turned into casino. Further he expressed his concerns on weakening
of rupee, increasing fiscal deficit and declining exports. It
appears that the UPA govt. is not concerned in the economy of
the country. At present, it appears there is no finance minister
with the UPA govt. while country is going into deepest of the
recession. There has been contradictions in the statements of
ministers of the UPA govt. which reflects depression and lack
                of confidence in this govt.
Today The BJP investor Cell has organized Niveshak Sanklap Maha
Adhiveshan of delegates in worthy Leadership Of Sh. Arun Singh
National Convenor, from across the country to discuss 11 point
agenda of misconceived, misdirected and mismanaged economy by
the UPA govt. From the massive Maha Adhiveshan delegates will
return to respective states and will convess for the party in
the Lok Sabha Elections for the party candidates. At this time
Deepak Sharma Malseehian, Ajay Gupta Mohali, Nipun Sharma Hoshiarpur,
Sandeep Tony Jaitu, Rajesh Pathak Bittu Dhandari, Chamkaur Singh
Pandher Kohara, Babu Vijaymal Doraha, Ramandeep Singh, Devinder
Singh, Harmeet Singh Sonu, Harminder Singh Neetu, Ajay Gupta,
Arun Sharma along with 500 BJP Investor Cell Delegates from Punjab
                were also present.

scandal: BJP seeks probe into MC commissioner’s role

                Feb 19, 2009 at 0217 hrs IST
                Express News Service

                Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Punjab State Chief, BJP Investor Cell
Ludhiana Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and Punjab State
Investor Cell chief Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today questioned
the slow pace of the probe into the Rs 752-crore advertisement
tax scandal. He also blamed commissioner G S Ghuman for the delay.

Grewal was addressing a press conference at the commissioner’s
office today, where he had gone to submit a memorandum. The commissioner,
however, was not present in office. Talking to the mediapersons,
Grewal said Ghuman was shielding the corrupt and erring officials,
who had milked the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation for past six
                years.
Grewal said he would file a formal complaint with the Punjab
Vigilance Bureau to ensure swift investigation into the scandal.

Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal had earlier ordered an inquiry
into the Rs 752 crore advertisement tax scandal and entrusted
the MC commissioner to investigate into the matter, in a Sangat
Darshan on November 8, last year.
Grewal said that oil marketing companies in connivance with
the advertisement mafia and officers of the MCs of Punjab have
installed flex hoardings over petrol pumps, but have not paid
                any advertisement tax till yet.
He said, over 68,388 retail outlets across the country, of which
5,226 retail outlets are commissioned in Punjab have erected flex
hoardings with an average advertising space of 1,000 square feet,
which means advertisement tax on 52,26000 square feet space. This
is fleeced by these OMCs and the advertisement mafia.
“This accounts a whopping loss of over Rs 125 crore per
annum to the Punjab government alone,” he said.

              Punjab
State Government should reduce Bus Fare as prices of Diesel

              Ludhiana, February 11, 2009
                Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Punjab State Chief, BJP Investor Cell
Senior Bharatiya Janta Party Leader and Punjab State
President BJP Investor Cell Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
wrote a letter to Master Mohan Lal, Transport Minister, Government
of Punjab and demanded that the State Government should reduce
Bus Fare as prices of Diesel have been reduced considerably by
Rs 4/-. The prevailing rates of Diesel were applicable in September
                2005.
Grewal stated that citing an opportunity to increase fares in
the wake of increased fuel prices autocratic Captain Amarinder
Singh led Congress Government burdened people of Punjab by raising
the fares from 42 paise per Km to 49 paise per Km. He added that
the above dictatorial decision burdened over 8.5 Lac commuters
who travel on 2418 Buses of Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation
and PEPSU Roadways Transport Corporation daily.
Grewal stated that SAD-BJP Government is committed to “Raj
Nahi Seva” and the Punjab Government should immediately
reduce bus fares from 49 paise to 40 paise to provide much abated
relief to common man of Punjab especially when the Diesel Prices
have been rolled back to Rs 29.82 below its year 2005 prices.
He added that the above decision will reiterate “Raj Nahi
Seva” slogan given by SAD-BJP alliance before Lok Sabha
Polls especially when most of the Private Fleet of Buses are owned
by companies promoted by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar. Prakash
Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sardar. Sukhbir Singh Badal.

              Ludhiana, February 8, 2009
                Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Punjab State Chief, BJP Investor Cell
               The Ludhiana Citizen’s Council organised a seminar-cum-debate
on terrorism here today. Experts from various fields, including
Lok Sabh Deputy Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal, former Punjab DGP
KPS Gill, former MP Sunil Shastri and BJP’s investor cell
chairman Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, took part in the seminar.

Atwal said: “An anti-terror squad should be formed at the
national level. We must strengthen ourselves to fight terrorism.”
Urging parties to come together to tackle the menace, he said
the problem could be weeded only if there was a united stand against
                it.
Terming information technology a tool in the hands to terrorists,
Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said: “Social networking sites
like Orkut and Facebook had been helping terrorist groups to promote
and organise their activities. Besides, Google and Youtube have
become tools for learning anything just by sitting home.”
Unless the nation became strong enough to curb cyber crime, nothing
concrete could be achieved in this direction, he added.
Among others present were CMC director Dr AG Thomas, Muslim Pers
Law Board chairman Mohd. Usman and DAV School principal RS Patial.

SEMINAR CUM DEBATE ON TERRORISM- LUDHIANA
            Ludhiana, 08th February 2009
Senior Bharatiya Janta Party Leader and Punjab State President
BJP Investor Cell, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal termed the UPA Government
“ignorant” about the misuse of Information Technology
by the Terrorists. Speaking to a seminar cum Debate on terrorism
at D.A.V. Public School, Ludhiana he aggrieved that Terrorists are
openly using Websites to propagate hatred through inflammatory Articles,
Pictures and Videos amongst muslims motivating them to raise funds,
organize advocacy and volunteer terror activities for these outfits.
Social Networking sites such as Orkut and Facebook are helping these
perpetrators to Communicate, Collaborate and Network with the likeminded.
Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo, Live etc Index these Websites
and inadvertently help these terror outfits by routing Internet
users to these Websites. Popular Websites such as Youtube provide
these fanatic minds complete recipe to make sophisticated bombs
from household items and without any technical expertise.
Grewal further stated that Terrorists can now plan and execute
terror activities without apprehending arrest as emerging technologies
such as Google Earth and Google Maps provide substantial information
about vital demographic know how and even Real time GPS Tracking.
Technologies such as Voice over IP and Chinese Phones without any
IMEI Number or a forged IMEI Number help them to communicate and
collaborate with their peers without fearing any identity loss.
Terrorists have been using advanced cryptographic techniques to
encode their messages into Photos and share these Normal looking
Photos with their Peers and Bosses sitting in Pakistan through websites
such as Flickr and Picaso without fearing the message being decoded
              by Intelligence agencies.
Recent blasts in Ahmedabad and Delhi have shown that Terrorists
are equipped with sophisticated software to scan “Unsecured
WI-FI Networks” of ignorant Internet users and hack them to
route Internet Calls to detonate Bombs and send terror emails to
claim responsibility of these terrorist attacks. So, Internet have
been misused by these Terror Outfits to organize Advocacy, motivate
Educated Muslims through Inflammatory Content, Generate Funds, disseminate
Information about Design and Development of Bombs, collaborate and
communicate with peers and bosses, help plan and execute Terror
              attacks.
Grewal demanded that Government immediately take remedies to ensure
that Internet shouldn’t be misued by these terror outfits.
He further insisted that Government should recruit a dedicated team
of technocrats armed with latest technology in the proposed federal
agency to counter cyber terrorism. Websites run by these terror
outfits should immediately be blocked. IT companies such as Google,
Yahoo etc should be asked to self regulate their content and provide
intelligence of any suspicious activity on their websites. Chinese
Mobile Phones without IMEI Numbers or with Forged IMEI Numbers should
be immediately banned and Telecom operators be instructed to stop
all such telephone connections and provide the list of all these
connections to Intelligence agencies. Internet Service Providers
be asked to educate their subscribers and ensure that WI-FI Networks
              of their Subscribers are secured.
Grewal stressed the need to curb terrorism to bring investors aboard.
He stated that ever since the inception of BJP State Investor Cell
we took the matter at International and National Platforms and managed
to get a ban imposed on Chinese Mobile Phones with forged IMEI Numbers.
Grewal stated that terrorists continually exploited grim Wi-Fi security
in recent terror strikes across India and our persistent activism
led Central Government to form a Panel on Wi-Fi Security. We insisted
Central Government to design an Integrated Counter-Terrorism Strategy
and form a Federal agency on the lines of KGB to counter Terrorism
and after persistent advocacy across India Central Government finally
formed a federal agency to counter terrorism and counter espionage
activities. Grewal stated that BJP Investor Cell is committed to
ensure ambient environment for people and will continue to make
a positive contribution to help in these turbulent times.

been shown the door, thousands of shops, industries has been close
down, crores of rupees of the small investor has been lost in the

It appears that the UPA govt. is not concerned in the economy of
the country. At present, it appears there is no finance minister

soon provide relief to people of Punjab. He added that he had also
apprised Professor Rajindra Bhandari, BJP President of Punjab about
the above “Jazia Tax” imposed by Capt. Amarinder Singh

              BJP reduced to 2nd fiddle
              in Punjab

            Chandigarh, Jan 20, 2009
              Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Punjab State Chief, BJP Investor Cell
Despite its best performance in the elections to the Punjab assembly
in 2007, BJP appears to have been reduced to playing second fiddle
in the state by its alliance partner SAD which would be holding
both the posts of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
The SAD would not only be holding the two top posts in the coalition
government but for the first time the Chief Minister and his deputy
would belong to the same family after the oath-taking of Sukhbir
Badal as deputy to his father Parkash Singh Badal at Amritsar tomorrow
              afternoon.
But the Punjab unit of the saffron party has been forced to accept
the position because its national leadership has given consent to
Badal senior despite opposition and reservations expressed by the
              state unit.
BJP's Punjab unit voiced concerns over Badal Jr, the Faridkot MP,
who represents the modern face of the SAD, occupying the number
two post but were overruled by their central leadership.
State unit chief Rajinder Bhandari and other leaders, including
ministers, camped in the national capital for a couple of days but
they had to return empty handed.
A delegation of state BJP leaders also called on L K Advani and
conveyed to him the party's concern over Badal's move, but their
pleadings did not cut much ice with the high command.
BJP won a record 19 seats in the 117-member state assembly in the
2007 assembly elections. The SAD had won 49 seats, four more than
rival Congress, and formed the government with the saffron party's
              support.
During the earlier alliance between the two parties, SAD was not
dependent on BJP for support in the state assembly as it had the
required numbers for a majority on its own. In 1997, when the two
parties were jointly in power the SAD had 75 members of its own
              while 18 belonged to BJP.
After the 2007 elections, BJP was in a commanding position but
SAD has been having its say because Badal Sr enjoys a close rapport
with the central leadership of the alliance partner due to which
the state BJP continues to be ignored, say senior leaders of the
saffron party who did not want to be quoted.
The BJP initially pressed its demand for the post of Deputy Chief
Minister in the coalition government but the SAD did not accept
it. On this issue also though the state leadership kept pressing
the demand but the central leadership of the BJP did not give it
              the backing.
The saffron party had its say during the Panchayat poll by fielding
a number of candidates in the rural areas to make a dent in SAD's
traditional vote bank. BJP also had a good going in its traditional
urban areas by tasting success in the elections to various Municipal
              Corporation.
Despite being in power the workers of the BJP faced harassment
and violence allegedly at the hands of the SAD workers in the Panchayat
and MC elections but except for lodging a protest the party could
              not do anything.
Now left with no option Bhandari and the present number two in
the Cabinet Manoranjan Kalia said they would abide by the party
high command's decision to back Sukhbir.
"We had apprised our Central leadership about the negative
effects that the move could have and put before them all the aspects
besides conveying the feelings of the workers and the state leadership
but as they decided to back it, we have accepted the move to make
              Sukhbir Deputy Chief Minister,"
              Bhandari said.
But senior party leader and Punjab BJP Investor Cell chief Sukhminderpal
Singh Grewal has termed Sukhbir's elevation as "an autocratic,
desperate and needless decision" by the Chief Minister.
Grewal said the decision would only send an off-beam signal to
the people of Punjab that SAD-BJP have accepted defeat even before
Lok Sabha elections as Badal was uncertain whether such an elevation
would be possible after Lok Sabha polls.
BJP always followed the coalition 'dharma' whereas SAD ignored
the alliance party, he said, adding after the election it was then
decided that a deputy chief minister would be appointed from BJP
to respect the mandate of the people but the Chief Minister failed
to fulfil his promise despite repeated demands from BJP Punjab president
Rajinder Bhandari and other eminent leaders from various platforms,
              he said.
Grewal said the BJP workers were feeling cheated and insulted for
indifferent attitude of the Chief Minister and advocated that consensus
of the state office bearers from BJP should have been taken on such
an important issue especially when the Lok Sabha Polls were round
the corner. Bureau Report (Zee News.com)

Elevation of Sukhbir Singh Badal as Deputy
              Chief Minister is an autocratic,
desperate and needless decision of Sardar Prakash Singh Badal.
            Ludhiana: January 18, 2009
              Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Punjab State Chief, BJP Investor Cell
Senior Bharatiya Janta Party Leader and Punjab State BJP Investor
Cell Chief, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, Namberdar stated
that elevation of Sukhbir Singh Badal as Deputy Chief Minister is
an autocratic, desperate and needless decision of Sardar Prakash
Singh Badal. Grewal stated that this decision will only send an
off beam signal to the people of Punjab that SAD-BJP have accepted
the defeat even before Lok Sabha elections as Sardar Prakash Singh
Badal is uncertain whether such an elevation will be possible after
Lok Sabha Polls. He cited an intelligence report of Sh. N.P.S Aulakh,
DGP, Punjab to the Sardar Prakash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of
Punjab, extracts of which were later published in the Vernacular
Dailies where in prospects of SAD-BJP Government were projected
to be poor in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls which could have led
              to Sukhbir Singh Badal elevation.
Grewal stated that BJP routed Congress in Urban areas to bring
back SAD-BJP coalition back to power and should have been right
contender for Chief Minister position but we maintained “Coalition
Dharma” and despite dismal performance of SAD, Sardar Prakash
Singh Badal was named Chief Minister. It was then decided that a
Deputy Chief Minister would be appointed from BJP to respect the
mandate of the people of Punjab but Sardar Prakash Singh Badal failed
to fulfill his promise despite repeated demands from BJP Punjab
State President Sh. Rajinder Bhandari and other eminent leaders
from various platforms. It is pertinent to mention here that in
last SAD-BJP Government appointed Sh. Balramji Dass Tandon as Deputy
Chief Minister from BJP despite fewer seats won by BJP. So, at this
stage Sukhbir Singh Badal’s elevation as against appointment
of a Deputy Chief Minister from BJP is a surprise element for party
workers across ranks of BJP. Workers are feeling cheated and insulted
for indifferent attitude of Sardar Prakash Singh Badal. He said
that consensus of the office bearers from BJP should have been taken
on such an important issue especially when the Lok Sabha Polls are
round the corner and Party workers are already aggrieved that they
have not been given due respect and participation in the government
when they have been serving party for over 20 years and served even
jail terms in emergency while a few are enjoying flavor of being
              in Government.
Grewal said he is in befuddled whether to consider Sukhbir Singh
Badal’s new designation as promotion or demotion as Party
President is considered to be above any position in Government including
Chief Minister of a Government especially, when Sukhbir Singh Badal
have been ruling as Super Chief Minister in Punjab. Grewal stated
that it’s a well known fact testified by reports from various
vernacular dailies that Sukhbir Singh Badal have been working as
