NRI Arvind KC has been appointed Chief People Officer at OpenAI, the artificial intelligence research company behind ChatGPT, as it enters a new phase of rapid growth and expansion.

• Arvind KC brings more than 25 years of experience in technology and people leadership to his new role.
• Before joining OpenAI, he served as Chief People and Systems Officer at Roblox, a huge gaming platform, where he led workforce strategy and internal systems.
• He held senior leadership roles at major US technology companies, including Google, Palantir Technologies, and Meta Platforms.
• At Palantir, he worked as Chief Information Officer and head of people operations, overseeing technology strategy and organisational systems.
• At Google, he served as vice-president of engineering, where he led product development initiatives focused on enterprise tools.
• KC’s professional experience spans internal product development, information technology, information security and engineering leadership, combined with organisational design and workforce management.
• KC holds an MBA from Santa Clara University in the United States and a degree in chemical engineering from a university in India.
