NRI Ajay Anand Named Inaugural Executive in Residence at Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative

NRI Ajay Anand, Senior Vice President, Global Services, Strategy and Business Services at Johnson & Johnson, has been appointed as the inaugural Executive in Residence at the Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative (WAIAI). The initiative aims to bridge cutting-edge AI research with real-world business applications through industry collaboration.

Anand, along with Achim Welter, Senior Director ERP, Digital & IT Strategy at The Hershey Company, will mentor students, advise faculty, and contribute to AI-focused projects like the Wharton AI & Analytics Accelerator. They will also serve as keynote speakers at conferences and judge AI competitions, including WAIAI Hack-AI-thons.

With over 26 years of leadership experience across industries such as consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications, Anand brings deep expertise in digital transformation and business strategy. He also serves on the Global Editorial Board of CDO Magazine and as an independent board member for USA Table Tennis (USATT).
