NRI doctor Rachandeep Singh arrested for
sexually assaulting co-worker in California

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said that on April 26, Dr. Rachandeep Singh was accused of sexually touching a female employee against her will at River Point-Post Acute Care Facility.

The administration of the facility, located on Fair Oaks Boulevard, removed Singh, who was the medical director of the Sacramento location, and two other facilities in San Joaquin County, according to the sheriff's office.

Felony charges for sexual battery were filed and an arrest warrant was issued for Singh by the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, the sheriff's office said.

Singh is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17 in Sacramento.

Rachandeep Singh graduated from Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana in 2001 with a medical degree.
